Recently, the academic forum "AIGC: The Future of the Digital World" was held at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, co-hosted by the Institute of Science and Technology Art and the Journal Editorial Department. Mr. You Shixue, the Chairman of Zhongke Huilian, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled "AI Serving Art." He pointed out that with the transition from weak artificial intelligence to strong artificial intelligence, the essence of AIGC is to break the high threshold of traditional artistic creation, and the question of "what is art" will be readdressed. In the future, art will experience new developments in the fully digitized digital world encompassing individuals, objects, and environments.

In recent years, artificial intelligence has been rapidly advancing, and concepts such as machine learning and deep learning have become widely known. The art world has also begun to engage intensively with artificial intelligence. In 2020, the Research Institute of Science and Technology in Art was established at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, with artificial intelligence art being an important area of focus and research.

The academic symposium "AIGC: The Future of the Digital World" focused on artificial intelligence, which has emerged with the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation. It explored the future of the digital world at the intersection of history and the future and discussed how art education and teaching should respond to current developments, preparing for the upcoming significant wave of AIGC. The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by Gao Hong, the Party Secretary of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, who delivered a speech. Lv Pinjing, Vice Dean, and Qiu Zhijie, Vice Dean, respectively chaired the first and second sessions of the forum. Jia Guanghong, Deputy Director of the Software Division of the Department of Information and Communication Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, also attended the forum. Over 20 experts and scholars, including Bao Ran, Vice Chairman of the Interactive Media Standardization Promotion Working Committee of the China Communications Standards Association, Li Xiaobing, Director of the Department of Music Artificial Intelligence and Music Information Technology at the Central Conservatory of Music, Bi Ran, Product Manager at Baidu PaddlePaddle, Zheng Shuliang, Chief Technology Officer of Lingxin Intelligence, Fee Jun, Professor at the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Ding Yuan, Professor at the School of Architecture, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Wang Jun, Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University College London (UCL), Wang Naiyan, Chief Scientist at TuSimple, Gao Feng, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Peking University, Zhang Wenchao, Head of the Art and Technology Department at the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Dai Lu, Editor at the Journal Editorial Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Chen Baoyang, Faculty at the Experimental Art and Technology Art College of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, delivered keynote speeches based on their respective areas of expertise and research focuses.
